"Yawning as I type this actually, heh...
As mentioned in my recent journal, I was in the process of moving. And now I'm all moved with my roomie Amber, aka Ambunny, in our new home in Tempe, Arizona.
We actually got here on Thursday, May 26th, but we still have moving boxes that need to be unpacked and I just started my first day in my new job.
Gotta say though, this past week, not only have I been the most emotionally exhausted I ever thought possible, but also the most physically exhausted than thought possible! Packing up a U-Haul and taking turns with my dad to drive it in a straight shot to Tempe from San Antonio, TX overnight, the actual drive itself was horrible and terrifying. Lightning storms at night, a tornado warning in the area from our smartphones in the darkness of 2am, swerved to dodge a raccoon, my dad almost fell asleep at the wheel... several several times, getting me to be in a panic trying to keep him awake till we could stop SOMEWHERE MILES LATER SO I COULD DRIVE... And on my turn driving on the shoulder for miles cause they coned all the lanes. I thought I was going to die several times, thank goodness for those side of road bumps x-x;
And then, top that level of exhausted with unpacking everything in our new home, on the brink of physical exhaustion, just, just, a terrible experience, I'm still sore and my sleep schedule is wonky and HIRING MOVERS NEXT TIME geeez. Oh, and can't forget another fun part, the auto transport I used to tow my car? Couldn't open the door properly since the metal sheet was too high on the sides, which, resulted in my driver door now being horribly mangled in the process of opening it and accidentally hitting the gas too much. Had to climb through the window a few times too, to keep it from falling off.
So, that's a snippet of my adventure. I had Amber fly here, bypassing the horrible horrible terrifying driving experience. My dad was awesome for the help, even if he almost killed me, I felt really bad that his flight back to Texas got him stuck at the airport... For 24 hours.
Anyway. Now, to continue getting our home ready, adjust to the incoming boiling triple digit temperatures, survive orientation of my new job, and stay awake. And another adventure in a few weeks that will surely test all of my being, but if I do my best will assist in making the person I care about most really happy.
This should have been a mini journal probly, but yeah~"
