Two teenagers, a barbary lion and an African wild dog, try out their first cigarettes after school... if they even went to school. The AWD can't handle the smoke though and his friend laughs at him! Look at them. Sitting out in the middle of an electric pylon field during a storm. Dorks.
I worked on this while Ustreaming. :) This shows my new hybrid style. Not really toony, not semi-realistic, just right in the middle. I like this style a lot more and it is still very detailed.

Very cute! I enjoyed watching you work on it, however short it was.
We have a Barbary lion pelt at my zoo. The damn thing weighs a ton. It still has claws on it. It's a great education tool. I have to think of it that way, or else I can't touch it. Creeps me out.

The main body fur is very short. About 1/4 of and inch. Not too soft. Feels like my Blue heeler/Aussie mix.
The mane is long. 8 inches in places and very wiry. The coarseness and length protects it from other male attacks. Makes it harder to reach vital parts. That's what a male lion's mane is for.
Carnivores are one of my specialties. I'm also an amateur herpetologist and entomologist.
