This is yet another try at practicing my background skills. I do them all with the airbrush tool in Sketchbook Pro while the lighting is all done in Photoshop. I don't think I have backgrounds down just yet so any pointers on how to improve it would be great.
Now for the picture itself, I leave it to the viewer on what happened to result in this picture. Some on the Picarto stream said things like the Brickhouse ran out of beer and Shred is looking for another Bar, another said that this was Squeek and Shred meeting for the 1st time ....some said the last time they meet. I had the thought that Shred is leaving (Maybe training...Maybe training another Bouncer perhaps off to fight another old enemy of his) and he will not be back for a long time and she would miss her B.F.F. (title she gave him).
What thoughts do you have on what just happened?

She thinks she can do without Shred and he in turn after a fight packs up to leave (likely giving them both time to calm down) and yet I Bet Shred will likely be secretly watching her or having friends (Beaten enemies) keepings taps on them out of the goodness of their (and there likely need to keep them) Hearts.
Her face looks like regret. He's not looking back, She is. Her posture is defensive.

As for the Background it looks like you did okay. Only immediate critique I could give is to watch where your vanishing point is. The bricks on both sides of the ally don't seem to match up to a single point.
I love the rim lighting from the sign tho, that totally helps the rainy wet feel.... it's just so sad.

I'm guessing they had another quarrel between them, probably
due to another hot & sexy babe flirting with Shred...after all,
Shred's a babe magnet. it's not his fault if bitches love him.
and from their argument which eventually simmered down
into a discussion...Shred obviously said it was time for him to
let Squeek go, and for him to move on...to at least live his own
life so Squeek could do the same.
and as they parted ways, Squeek was too stubborn to admit iit
but she knew she'd miss her BFF...and Shred, even he'll have a hard
time getting over her. sure she's came between Shred & any babe
he's brought home with him...but whose fault was that?
Squeek's, that's who...if only she'd been more honest about
her true, intimate feelings for Shred...then maybe he'd at least
notice & take her serious enough...alas, Squeek didn't & always
acted like a child.
God knows if they'll ever get together again.
Anywho...that's my perspective on this powerful & emotional pic.
