Great Ratchet!

Highlights are a tad too saturated though.

idk i kinda liked em that way? like i know it isnt realistic but i really like that stark saturated light on him it feels so warm to me
i just personally think maybe it uploaded too dark.

It's just that the highlights look like they were done with a dodge tool set to high intensity, making the contrast of the highlights versus midtones and shadow a little jarring. I stopped using the dodge tool a long time ago because it always oversaturated the highlights. I've simply been using knowledge of light and colors too manually create my highlights now.

But anyway this is still one of the most well drawn Ratchets on FA.

Its actually the layer blend mode that made it look this way. if i just set it to multiply and took off the dark background (because that affects the light too) it just feels too boring https://i.gyazo.com/40a0c1a491d9d4e.....70040b8388.png

well that's not what I mean, you have to have a good sense for such things, I'd say the strong outline here in this pic you drew http://www.furaffinity.net/view/20829351/ looks perfect since he has his back to a white background ( basically a bright light source ) while the view of that light is obscured.
