I disagree - remaining deliberatly ignorant is not for me. Gimme the facts, all you know.

Like I said, I've never known what it feels like to feel the way the poem describes on a personal level, but I know many others do. I wouldn't go so far as to say I'd 'never' wish for a little ignorance, in hindsight I think there's times when the majority of folks will wish they hadn't found something out. Most of the time though, yeah, its better to know.
