calextheneko has done a bunch of interactive games over the years - TF stories determined by audience votes, TF board games, and TF reality competitions. I've read many of them, and participated in a couple, and I'm a bit of a fan.

Most of his stuff, though, tends to be AR and micro stuff, which isn't generally for me. But his work is always so fun, so innocent, that I'll try to break into the mindset and dig into what the appeal is.

Hence, Nick the Griffin. I originally made him for a TF story game... I needed a wacky scenario, so I figured, let's make up an anthro fantasy beast who is a complete schlub and I could totally victimize through TF.

When I brought him back for one of Calex's games, I thought, hmmm, what if he was actually the sort of guy who wanted to be TF'd... but he places such a high value upon fitting in with society, he can only let himself be TF'd if he knows he can't be held responsible for it? This play between consent and non-consent fascinates me, so he's sort of become an all-purpose TF victim.

Despite not even being human, which is usually how I like my pre-TF states.

So, here he is at three different ages, corresponding to the three ages he's transformed into so far in Calex's Legends of the Hidden Fountain game. You'll notice that's where my icon comes from. The idea is, as he gets younger, I'll keep updating my icon to reflect it as a convenience to other players. I can't wait to draw baby Nick.

Socially awkward, very self-conscious around non-griffins (feels like he has to set a good example) and also around other griffins (constantly comparing himself to them). He attempts to diffuse awkwardness with intentionally corny jokes. Loses his awkwardness when conversation turns to his favorite topics: nature, history, sight-seeing, and adventure stories.
