Malak squated down to the young turian's height and asked "Are you ok young one? Are you lost? Do you have any friends you can play with?"
The child didn't respond beyond a slight shaking of her head indicating 'No', looking at Malak wide-eyed. He couldn't decifer if the child was simply shy or was perhaps mute.
Furrowing his brow plates he followed up "Well that's a shame.. all of us need a friend in our life. You know, I may have a friend for you myself."
Malak reached into his robes and pulled out a small stuffed doll that he had found a couple of days prior and showed it to the young turian.
"I think he wants to be your friend."
