The morning after. Here's where the guilt begins to set in; and he has to wonder, as though somehow things are different now after the events of ASB, whether Marcus has the potential to be the jealous type.

hmm, not something FA gets to see very often. the Guilt that one has after having sex with someone who isn't their lover.
I like the expressions and the feeling of this. it actually has merit to show a good story.
Judging by how Marcus was in ASB, i think he would be understanding, maybe not after the whole thing that they both went through, but, I think things would work out in the end.

I agree.
I've met shockingly few furries who actually seem to understand the value in a proper relationship. Not that long ago, I actually had a mate cheat on me...and some of his friends had the audacity to ask me WHY I was angry about it, as if I shouldn't even care.
Aaanyway, sorry for dragging a story into it, but it just reinforces what you've already said. Furrries are stereotyped as a bunch of sleezy sex-addicts for a reason =P...

To quote directly from ASB.
"All right... No more using me as a prize! Even if David needs to be put in his place."
Obviously I don't think Marcus will mind to much, though I do believe Daniel should be commiting to his mateship a tad more responcibly. Wolves are pocessive afterall.

The whole series is fantastic, and its great to see Danny brought back to life in a small story. Its amazing that you answered the very question I was going to ask with this last image bio - is marcus a jelous guy. THis would be a great story to develope on - hope there is more to come.
College changes people. Lord knows it did it to me.
By the end of ASB, Daniel's gone from being a nervous fish-out-of-water to someone with a stable place to stand. Subconsciously, I think something in him would miss the thrill of not knowing what's coming next, and it would prod him to do something to shake things up a little, if only to recapture that delightful uncertainty that he'd come to expect out of life.
Besides, another little part of him likely feels a teeny bit resentful at having played the part of the dutiful sidekick for so long; whether he instinctively knows how to or not, something in him wants him to take charge of things, to grab the wheel of life and give it a hard turn just to see what'll happen, as long as it's on his terms.
N.b.—I'm saying this not as a writer-contributor or anyone with say over "canon". Just because I drew the comic doesn't make the story mine. :) But I think this stuff is in character for Daniel; it's just a new direction for the character that hadn't taken shape fully by the end of the actual comic.

Hmm, if you feel this is the case, I wonder how this would affect the dynamics of his relationship with Marcus. Because of his upbringing, I would have assumed he would very strongly value a monogamous relationship. I guess life changes can really alter even the most deepest of values.
This is a marvelous mini series! It seems to me like it would fit in with the "real" story. Certainly it would be a test of Marcus and Daniel's relationship and what boundaries they're willing to agree too. Maybe they should invite the Professor to that one special yearly party the boys have... seemed like a good way to sort out such issues. :3 As I've said before, ASB is probably the best comic ever to come out of the fandom. Good art, sex and a great story that even my nonfur friends have identified with.
