So, I mentioned weeks ago about making a birthday gift for a friend (on my Tumblr), hoping to get it done that day, but, you know what life does? it says “hey, i see you’re trying to for once make a birthday gift for a friend in a timely manner, let’s distract you with random life drama and issues and your own current art limitations :)))” And i’m like “pls no” and it’s like “too late haha”
Haha but seriously, i finally got it done, i actually got this done two days ago, but you know what else happened? i decided, you know what? it’s too really long already, why not make it extra special at least so that when i show it to my friend, (who btw is Qalaxydoq, my good friend Oliver) it’s worth the wait? of course, though, as stupid as i am, i was gonna fill the page with multiple drawings of their character (Which i do still plan to do), but of course this will take a while, and at this point can be considered a second gift, but i think i should put this out to show i’m not slacking off completely haha, but yeah, the extra part of the gift may come a little later, i may need to actually practice a little because i don’t want to screw it up, cause i was stupid and tried to draw a bunch of dynamic poses, you know, like complex poses, some usually forshortened, really 3D, yeah, something i have little to no experience in and got ahead of myself thinking i could do it in the first try just off some references, haha, no, i need a lot more practice than that sadly. It’s especially not easy to make birthday gifts when you’re a perfectionist and always try to bring your A+ game, and don’t like to half ass stuff, so you try to pour every ounce of effort you can into it and end up flying way past the due date wondering “what the fuck happened”.
Anyways, i hope this makes the wait worth it at least, here you go Oliver! you seriously are one of my best friends, and i’m sorry i was so late on getting this to you, but i didn’t give up or forget.
