The following is my first trade story for
NoctoNommer which is both another venture into Vore-town, but also an adventure with her two beloved OC characters. An adorable little imp named Puck, and a big cuddly ogre named Ganchua.
In this story, Puck has run away from home in an effort to start a new and better life, but finds he's soon in over his head, and in desperate need of help. That help comes in the form of a benevolent ogre, whose way of helping Puck get to safety is, well, unorthodox.
This was a really fun story to write up. A bit longer than I'd initially intended it to be, but it was just fun working with these two adorable characters. i actually quite like all of Rchlis' original characters and find that they're really cute together. I'd advise everyone reading this to check her page out for more.
This is one of the fluffier stories you'll see on my page, but I'm not complaining.
CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: BELLY RUBS, BLOATING, BURPING, FLUFF, (NON FATAL) VORE, WEIGHT GAIN.
Not your thing? Do not read. If it's your thing, you've come to the right place.

When Rchlis and I recently had our trade, this was actually one of the ideas she proposed for the writing portion (my side). I liked the Aveon idea a bit more, so we went with that. Clearly she made the right choice in asking you for aid; I think you gave more personality to the characters, especially Puck, than I might have done. Especially Puck. I think that if I had been the one writing the story, I would have made Puck a little...I don't want to say "meaner," but he certainly wouldn't have been the sweetheart he is here. I probably would have had him be something of an instigator; like, he insulted the harpies because they stole something he wanted, and that got him in trouble. He still would be the victim in all this, but there'd be a bit more "bite" to him. I'd also have him find more ways to try and outwit the beasties before running into Ganchua. HOWEVER, a.) I am not the writer of this, b.) I am not the person who created Puck, c.) I think all this is because of my love of a different character by the same name, who is something of a mischief-maker, and d.) I think your work here is probably better. He's innocent and sweet, but there's still a sort of "impish" (ha ha) quality to him; he's got a lot of spark and even a fair amount of venom for all his sweetness. And that makes him even more of a great foil for Ganchua, who is basically like a giant teddy bear in this whole thing.
This was really very sweet! I don't even think I have much of a critique to give; the plot flowed fairly well, the characters were endearing, and it had all of the somewhat-dastardly stuff that usually draws us all to your stories, as well as all of the softer, lighter elements. It was everything this story needed, and perhaps a little more. Even the harpies didn't seem totally terrible; the detail(s) about their behavior around the basket I actually found sort of amusing.
Well done, sirrah! Another fine job!
Sincerely,
The Cheshire Cat's Master

I'm very humbled that you enjoyed the story here. Thank you. Your Aveon story was really enjoyable and amusing all around!
I can see why you'd go that direction for Puck. The reason I ultimately didn't was the information I was provided. And the two key images on Rchlis' gallery the story was based off of. In them, it looked like Puck was fearfully being hunted or watched. And the other is, of course, Ganchua guiltily gulping the little imp down. So really, from my perspective, it painted a clear enough picture, and I just rolled with that. I also requested a few details on certain scenes she wanted in the story. So that helped.
I'm glad you enjoyed the story!

God, I friggin' love this.
This came out awesome! That's pretty much exactly how I imagined these two cuties met for the first time, with some little details added that I didn't think of, but really made the story shine nonetheless. Puck was amusingly snarky and spunky, but that didn't get in the way of how sweet and childlike he is, and that ultimately made him very likeable. He may be a bit rough around the edges, but he really wants to rise above his siblings and family and become a better pers--err, imp. And Ganchua really brings out the best in him...and speaking of Ganchua, what else can I possibly say about him? He's friggin' perfect! He's polite, he's nice, he's a teacher, and he's ADORABLE. It almost makes me feel bad for enjoying the part with the noms, hiccups, and burps when he's soooooo miserable. XD Hopefully his new buddy will help him out with his anxiety.
And the closing scene...oh god, my heart.
Another fantastic story, and thank you so much for doing this trade with me!

Thank you very much. I'm beyond thrilled that the story was to your satisfaction.
I remembered the comic strip you showed me, and it gave a sense that Puck was a cheeky bugger, and his name and bio eluded as much too. But the doodles and the personality also demonstrated that he was a very innocent and ultimately kind creature. Who, at his core, just wants a better life, and is sick of being belittled and disregarded for no other reason than his size and not his heart. He just happens to be one with a big mouth sometimes.
I had a lot of fun writing with Ganchua. He's such a big teddy bear through and through, that even I felt bad when he was suffering through having to be a predator, all the noises that come with that and all.
That final scene I actually had planned when I saw Puck basically as a big kitten, and considering he might've liked the inside of Ganchua's stomach, I suspected he'd probably get some comfort from the much softer outside as well.
I'm very happy that you liked the story. It was my absolute pleasure to write it, and I hope to do this again sometime, because your characters are all fantastic!

That's pretty much spot on. ^^ He's a sweet lil' fella, but he's not a perfect little angel. He's a rascal, but he's not irritating or unlikeable...I hope. XD
And yep, teddy bear is the perfect description for the big guy. Both personality wise, and in his snuggleability.
I am definitely open to doing this again, thank you so much!
