Inspired by 家有大貓 I have half a mind of making a similar themed VN, except set in another island.
Sri Gala: This smol bean is The Kancil, a trickster character similar to The Coyote or The Fox.
Loman: He's a Babi Ngepet, essentially a were-boar that can steal money by teleporting them.
Paras Annari: Paras is a jinn, his ancestors (though, considering jinn's longevity, it's more like great-grand parents) moved to Java one thousand years ago.
Welang Kuwat: This sea serpent naga is a psychopomp for people who died from drowning. He use his hook to pull souls from the water. I made this guy up. There's no specific psychopomp in Javanese myth (though there's probably a figure similar to Yama Duta).
But anyway there's an association between snake, underworld, and water. Javanese naga itself used to be quite snake-like, but due to influence from the chinese they have more draconic head.
