Oookay.. this is my newly made Lion character. Hopefully for submission to DA's club Misfit Pride.

Doodled this up really fast so I wouldn't forget, and Ive never drawn a lion before.. so sorry for the weirdness and messyness. o.o;

Story: Born of a male lion and a female tiger he is a liger. As lions carry the gene for spots and tigers for stripes, he acquired a mutation in this gene, called melanism, which prevented the lion cub spots from fading as he got older. Instead, the spots spread until at the age of a year old, he was totally black. Due to his mixed parentage he inherited the lion’s growth gene but not a lioness’s inhibiter, as a result, like all ligers, he outgrew both his parents. Tigers do not live in prides, so he has never experienced life as a part of one.
He was originally known as Amadi, which means "seemed destined to die at birth”. As soon as he left his tiger mother he adopted a new name, one better suited to his current state; Samanya, meaning "the unknown one". Samanya, commonly known as Aya (He hated the abbreviation ‘Sam’) wandered the wilderness, surviving on his own, shirking all contact with tigers and lion prides alike until he stumbled on the Mistfit pride. By the time he found them he was fully grown and very much a loner. Quiet and very much a ‘lone wolf’ he keeps to himself, staying some way distant of the pride. The only reason he is there at all is due to his most recent interaction with humans. He was badly wounded and is recovering, being near the pride partially allows him the safety of the group even though he is not very socially active.
