oh, n reasons (that I know of/others have told me) for wanting to be a pet;
-Taken care of/protected
-don't have to think or make any decisions, just do what what their told (easy rather than worrying about what to/not to do)
-be cute and pup/pet like!
-please their owner/master
-playing a completely different kind of personality/escapism

In reading your comments above, I'm glad someone understands that the master-pet relationship doesn't have to be sexual, or about dominance. It can even just be a form of companionship and friendliness. Leashed was like that, but I think the whole password reset of a couple of years ago killed the group, unfortunately.
