This one was difficult to post, not because of any emotional ties, but rather because of the controversy surrounding RC Fox.
For those who do not know, RC fox had been accused of possessing and disseminating child porn via his computer. Note that he was never accused of anything involving actual contact with minors in any way. However, we will never know the truth about these accusations. Tragically, he committed suicide the day before his trial was to begin.
Before you pass judgment, I suggest you educate yourself on the facts of what was actually known to the general public:

What bothers me the most is how the furry community continually proclaims itself as tolerant and supportive of other furs, and yet they have proven time and time again to be cruel and hateful; casting their judgment of guilt upon others without ever knowing the facts.
I do not know what was on RC's computer or if the charges against him were true, but I do believe that he took his own life, not because of any admission of guilt, but because he no longer had the strength to fight and was afraid. Persecuted as a pedophile and outcast from the furry community that he loved, he was alone and even if found to be innocent, he would never be able to live down the stigma cast upon him. In a way, he was bullied by the furry community into taking his own life.
Perhaps those accusations against him were true. Perhaps he deserved some type of prosecution. But he was still a human being, and deserved to be treated as one. He was still 'innocent until proven guilty by a court of law' and deserved the chance to prove that innocence, without the ignorant and intolerant 'furry jury' casting their judgment on him.
I never knew RC Fox, and only photographed him at several conventions, but he is deserving of being remembered.
So, this photo tribute is for all of his friends and family to honor RC Fox, and have something pleasant to remember him by.

EDIT (2018.03.21):
If this is true, I am now even more disheartened and disgusted by this entire situation and how RC Fox was pre-judged to be guilty by the furry community.

Carl had plead guilty as part of a plea bargain. However, a source who knew him has indicated that he'd regretted this decision:
"He already plead guilty [...]. And then, his lawyer found evidence that none of the child-porn rated content was his (network hacking). But in order to appeal, he needed $25,000 and he didn’t have it. He was going to prison until he came up with the money to prove innocence and he just couldn’t bear to do it."
The source also explained that R.C. believed that by being convicted of the crime, it would put his mother's job in jeopardy, because she works as a school teacher:
"Also, if he went to prison, his mother would lose her job (she works at a school) so, he figured, he could help his family by ending it."
With the addition of the isolation he experienced because of the crime he'd been charged with, the above factors had led R.C. to make his final decision.

This makes me very sad. </3 I had a friend who was accused of RPing with a minor which he did but she had lured him into doing it. He wanted to commit suicide but I was by his side the whole time.. It was sad and heartbreaking because no human being deserves so much hatred to the point of suicide.
I think we all know someone who has at least considered suicide, if not actually tried to do it. Most of the time, it is out of hopelessness and not some sense of guilt, and without friends around to help, it is easy to let those emotions win out.
I am glad to hear that you were there for your friend. Far too many friends are left out there alone, to fend for themselves.

You have wonderful kids, and I can't even begin to imagine the worry and fear that you live with, thinking about anything happening to them.
As the blog I linked to states, we don't know the extent or truth to the allegations against RC and unfortunately, we never will.
I do not know if he was guilty or innocent, but he deserved better than the condemnation he received merely from accusations.

I've heard something about this, but I stayed away because furry drama is always very damaging no matter what side you take. I'm a huge believer in innocent until proven guilty and wait until the courts itself found him guilty or not. It's tragic that he took his own life all because he was bullied to death from the community he was part of. Not that I'm defending him or anything like that at all. Just saying it as a person who took no sides to this. I never met RC nor I have spoken to him in any regards. I have heard of him, but only from pictures of his fursuit and that's it.
It always makes me uncomfortable to see social media to be used as judge, jury, and executioner in matters such as these.

This is my exact take on this situation as well, which is why I was somewhat hesitant to make this tribute. I don't know if he was innocent or guilty, but in the end, he was a fellow human who is deserving of being remembered. He was someone who seemed to be in need of help and instead was shunned and ostracized.
RC was condemned for supposedly having 20 pictures on his computer. I don't know about anyone else, but I still use a newsgroup reader to automatically download new photos from such newsgroups as 'alt.binaries.humor.skewed', 'alt.binaries.images.fun', 'alt.binaries.pictures.astro', 'alt.binaries.pictures.animals', 'alt.binaries.pictures.scenic', 'alt.binaries.pictures.wallpaper' and about 25 others. This downloads nearly 1000 pictures a day.
Although I specifically avoid any newsgroups associated with RL porn, newsgroups are not monitored and disgusting photos will often find their way into some of these 'innocent' newsgroups. But because the program I use to download images doesn't discriminate, until I go through and delete these unwanted images, they are on my machine. Having an image does not make someone guilty of enjoying the contents or even supporting that images existence. Am I supposed to be terrified of downloading astronomy or nature photos, because someone might upload a porn picture to that newsgroup as well?

*hugs* I only talked to him a few times but knew of him for quite a long time and seen him at many cons as well. He always seemed like a nice person and didnt deserve how the community treated him and it makes me sad to know that it even happened like this. Like you i always thought this community was here to help others in a time of need but seems thats not always the case. Im really gonna miss seeing him around. May he rest in peace.
Besides being a tribute to his memory, if this submission helps even one person to reconsider their pre-judgment of RC and learn to not treat others like this in the future, then I will consider this a very small victory.
But honestly, I don't know how much hope there is for the furry community if such attitudes remain.
The pleasantries and friendship we see at conventions feel more and more like the minority of how furries truly are.
Oh. And a belated Happy Birthday, that I missed over the weekend. <3

Well put
I was so saddened when I heard the news that he'd taken his own life.
It makes me sick how this fandom reacts to just an accusation.
I can't imagine what he went through.
I can't imagine being alone in a situation like that, where everyone hates you and you become an outcast.
It makes me so sad for him.
Just like you said, even if he was guilty, he was still human.
RIP RC

The human judgment sometimes makes mistakes. RC Fox was framed or maybe not, I don't know. I just hope God will give true justice for him.
I didn't know RC Fox in real life. But his character did warms my heart sometimes.
RIP RC Fox. And thank you and your photographers for many nice photos with your cutie fursuit.

Such a tragic turn of events..
Unfortunately, people are easily swayed by what they hear, whether it's correct information or otherwise.
Perhaps this is a call to people to do their research before passing premature judgement.
Except people are to lazy and take the easy road.

Unfortunately, all it takes is one person early in the process to interpret 'accused' as 'guilty' and then everyone that follows just keeps repeating it.
While furries will deny that they have any 'perversions' themselves, they believe such perversions are rampant in the furry community.
So, we end up with thousands of furries who are all 'virtuous', yet believe everyone else in the community is not; leaving them quick to believe others are guilty of such acts on hearsay alone.

i never knew RC, but certainly could have passed him somewhere along this journey. It is such a shame to hear something like this... the overwhelming odds; the lack of support is disheartening to say the least... but it was a *life*.
i will keep RC in good thought and prayer here...

I know all too well about the drama high horse. How people say they know everything and honestly know nothing yet the start and pass rumors in hopes to make their own name bigger by being cruel to another. In my book anyone who acts this way in our fandom do not deserve to be called furs and in my eyes never will be. I don't know what was going on with RC Fox, but I do all too well know what he was going through from the drama mill.

I know this post is a year old, but me and RC used to chat a lot in the past, most was role play and i was young. (14/15 to be exact) but carl was extremely nice to me. the last time i spoke to him directly i was sitting in math class (about 2 years ago) and you could tell he was down. had i just kept talking to him maybe i couldeve stopped him from proceeding his suicide.. i somehow think i couldeve stopped it from happening. i miss his friendship. i believe we all have good inside of us.
even the most of evil people, carl was a good man.
he wanted to get help i believe.
i only wish somone couldeve stepped up and helped him overcome his demons.

I'm sorry for the loss of his friendship you must now endure. It's never easy to lose a friend, especially in such a manner as with RC.
It's always nice to believe that we could have made a difference in situations like this, but we'll never know for sure, and because of this, try not to hold any regrets. All we can do is learn from the past and hopefully prevent others we may know from succumbing to a similar fate.
Thanks for being one of his friends and making his life more enjoyable, when it was.

What happen to RC Fox, rather he was innocent or guilty taught me one thing. The whole bit that the furry fandom is loving and accepting is a load of bullsh*t. Just like the rest of humanity this fandom is filled with ugly mean toxic people hell bent on distroying other people for the sake of making themselves feel better. I pray to God that the soul of RC has finaly found the peace and love that was taken from him.
