Today, I was finally introduced to the family of 
Dark Violet
...and it actually went a lot better than this. We went to Jodrell Bank and saw the Lovell Radio Telescope and I had an awesome day meeting his folks and seeing loads of awesome space stuff in tours and exhibits and talks and I got cake and coffee and then met the family cats and was loaned a Pratchett book.
They're really awesome people and they raised a truly wonderful son who I love very much and it's my privelege to have met and gotten to spend sweet, precious time with.
All the same, it was fun to offload the anxiety of the day via parody.
