A foxified bobcat. It is said he has transformation habilites and magical powers, but it stills remains a mistery.

I already had a good result yesterday but I couldn't stop tweaking it. Gaaah! My perfectionism will kill me!

so, 'cording to the keywords this is a blender piece. looks really good! I always have problems with working with hair/fur because I suck at styling it was something that no one really explained very well so I always feel like I have a good grasp of the tool just not the process. blender uses control curves to style with rite?
keep up the good work!

Using control curves was the only way years ago, but got a much more powerful hair editing system when Big Buck Bunny was released in 2008. Since then it's very easy to add and edit hair. The really difficult and tricky part is making a material that actually looks like hair. Last year I got tired of rendering them and developed a different way of making them, much faster, with GLSL shaders. I have published only one pic so far in FA using the new technique, I want to upload more but I'm very busy at the moment.
