a mod doesn't include parts ( or very few ) . this one has it's own head, hands, feet, tail, hair, hud and scripts with a lot of animations.

Now if you think it's the same than a mod that tells you "grab that head from this maker, that body from another, and put those textures on" that you may want to rethink it

Thing is... for example your lion v2 costs 900 Linden as we speak. Which is perfectly reasonable since it's a full avatar you can use out of the box. Now this here costs 100 Linden more and is only useable if you buy another expensive avatar for it.. I find it sad to be honest. Since your full avatars were great.

Will there be a version for the Slink body? I have to ask, because the rabbit did not have that version either. Perhaps an update for that will be made available?

If there are enough people interested and if I manage to get a dev kit for it, it's a possibility

My friends and I are all for this, too. I personally don't really like to use the default Kemono, so having the option to use other body types would be hella appreciated!

The Slink dev kit is available from the maker. Just need to ask her for it.

I don't have Slink myself, but I know a few other people that do, and they were very disappointed that there were no Slink parts in the rabbit. May be something to consider?

Glad I'm only going to use the head....I think it's a bad move to make it a kimono release first. :/

To add to my comment, the reason being. Most mice including myself dont use the kimono, we use LL, slink, and maitreya. So to be rather honest I think itd ve wiser to release it initially as LL with an omega body applier sense most popular bodies have omega implanted in it and gives the buyer more room to create and customize.

While it would be nice to release to a wider audience, you have to be realistic and realize that most creators for these human bodies generally guard their dev kit's and require people to apply to receive one. There are creator's who have been waiting up to 6 months to be accepted for a dev kit.

Thus why I said omega. Omega is widely used and works on 90% of mesh bodies out there. Might not line up 100% to some but it gives a wider range of creativity for the customers.

As a texture applier system, yes. But Oken has already stated they're including hands and feet. With mesh models, you'll need a reference point of where to connect them and that's what causes problems.

Besides, there will be mods most likely to be made by mod artists that will work with the more popular body choices. Or they can be commissioned.

You will have all the texture first available to make your own omega applier. You can get the omega skin dev kit from the omega store when the other bodies come out

iirc it's only maitreya that you have to pry from their cold dead hands. otherwise the other kits (slink and belleza) are far easier to get

That must have been changed for Slink then. I went through that process a few months after it was released.

The parts are adorable and the mesh looks very clean and smooth! The textures do make it look a little like a possum but that can be overlooked since its modifiable, of course. Definitely grabbing this once the other body types are released.

Personally I love this! This is much the step up in comparison to the old chinchilla head that people still seem to stick too. The fact the creator took my advice on putting rigged fang like teeth in there to help recreate mods for canine/feline species similar to that of the chinchilla means so much. It's a shame the negative reviews on this thus far because of the lack of information.

Oken here is making this for other bodies, which will be released separately instead of different colors. So this means yes, you will still get all your mesh body options you desire. Just it's fitted for kemono as of right now doesn't mean it will completely stick with it. It's just gonna be the first release. So you negative Nancy's get your panties out of twist.

As for the texturing, Oken made it to were you can create your own textures extremely easily, it's a matter of picking up and learning the tools, if not just wait for mod makers like myself to release textures compatible with said pieces. Just chill, and appreciate we are actually getting something new and fresh thats actually fully mesh and bento rigged to replace the once ultimate chinchilla head and thank you Oken for creating yet another master peice!!

Will it have its own modled body like the DSD horse?

The DSD mesh body was retired after the release of the fennec, due to lack of interest from clothing makers and it being difficult to support, as most people gravitate towards a specific body, like maitreya or kemono or slink, then look for avatars from there.

will the head have a blush option?

It was added, perhaps because of your request, looks cute too!

Perhaps you should make an omega skin appliler for all omega friendly bodies.

I believe he is currently doing this, the maitreya skin has to be slightly different than omega because of things like the nipple location, and that has now released. Omega is surely soon to come.

The maitreya version got released this past weekend, there are not digi style legs for this one, however the legs (and hands) are seamless on these, making them work much better with a lot of clothing options.
