Sketchbook painting that I really really really like. The whole sketchbook this is from is great, my best sketchbook to date! I wanna do a sketchbook video at some point showing the full of it... but this is definitely one of my favorite pieces in it. Probably my favorite piece in it actually. Anyhow! It's a mish mash of ink and gouache and probably some other stuff I don't remember lol.

thank you so much! I think about selkies who have been taken as wives by human men who can't put their skin back on, but they still like to go and swim with their brethren. And I think a lot about a personal selkie character who is no longer the wife of a human - the man who stole her skin burned it when he caught her looking for it. It broke his hold over her but it also meant she could never be a seal again. I imagine that when she can, she swims in the ocean as best she can, and is comforted by seals there.
I want to cuddle both.
