Animation of dragon eyes blinking with outer eyelids. It was made for 
Ahsaht. Third eyelid is not shown.
This particular species of dragons normally almost never blinks with their outer eyelids, and rarely need to close their eyes. Even when resting, eyes usually kept open and they can always react if something is moving unexpectedly. When they close outer eyelids, skin feels stretched so it would be uncomfortable to keep eyes closed for too long.
Pattern on the skin may remind scales, but actually this is soft skin with variable roughness, so there are shiny spots and matte areas.
