The following is artwork by 
eskaria145 as part of a trade we've been working on.
I've always loved his style as he's one of my favorite artists on the site among a few notable and wickedly talented homies here. So I asked him to create his own design of everyone's favorite scaly boi, Waylon Jones. Sure enough, he delivered with a design I think we can all agree is pretty fucking baller. It's a more conventionally reptilian look, but it has all the hallmarks of what my favorite versions of Waylon look like

But seriously, eskaria’s design turned out friggin’ fantastic. I usually don’t like it when Waylon is drawn with a full on crocodile snout, but this is a really nice middle ground between reptilian and humanoid.
Also, I dunno if it’s the artist’s style or just the way he’s drawn here, but the big boi looks a bit more...youthful, like he’s somewhere in his late teens. Not complaining in the slightest, I think he looks cute. ^^

For real, I'm hit or miss when it comes to full on crocodile look but since eskaria is so good at creating monsters, I knew he'd find a way to make it work. The fact that Waylon looks full on reptilian but has a human-shaped skill was a great middle ground. And the fangs along with the crocodilian scale pattern kept him from looking like Reptile.
I think it's just his style but I love it too tbh. Gives Waylon a bit of extra personality, where you can see more of his sassy and teasing side when his face isn't quite as harsh looking. Plus like you said, scaly boi earns extra cute points.

I just wanna say, I freakin' LOVE this design. To me, Rchlis' look is the definitive Croc-o look because, well, it's honestly perfect. But this is a perfect 'crocodile' look for the big guy. It's the right blend of human and animal, and still manages to be just as expressive as a human without losing some of the features lost in other looks like the Arkham one or MOST comic versions. I also love the general physique and overall aesthetic. (potbelly doesn't hurt either. 'XD)
