Ah, yes, back to sketching. My forte. Not to mention unnecessarily scratch-shading on digital artwork, but it usually meets my approval more that way.

Nah, if one does hatching at the right weight, you can illustrate the difference between line and shading easily enough. Granted, it makes for a scratchy style. Up to you if that's your style or not.

I really love this - so crisp, even, threshold rich. Your composition is also impeccable, as he stands on a third line, his tail dominating the bottom frame and arcing ever-so-gracefully back into the center of the piece.

I hope you're very proud of this - it's stunningly brilliant.
