Living in a small cottage in the middle of a dense, enchanted forest, Bolet lives by himself usually tending to his garden when not out performing as a bard or selling produce as a merchant. He also enjoys simply strolling through the forest or other interesting places, sometimes collecting plants to replant in his garden. Come summer solstice, he makes a special performance at the festivals in various towns. Sometimes, however, his curiosity gets the best of him, getting him into various adventures.

As a mushroom fairy, a special type of plant (or in this case, fungi) related fairy, he has not only a natural attunement to, and proficiency in magic, as well as the ability to instantly spawn the mushroom he is related to in fertile soil via spores that occasionally fall from his “hat”. Bolet likes to use this as a signature in his performances sometimes, spinning around while dropping spores to produce a ring of mushrooms where he last played. However, like most other fairies of his kind, he can’t eat what he spawns, or he loses all his magic.

Bolet’s musical performances are something of a spectacle, combining long, elaborate, and emotionally evolving songs with beautiful magical illusions depicting everything from the wonders of nature, to mythical dragons and other creatures. Despite putting on such a big performance, he usually declines most of the gifts, saying that his audiences’ happiness is enough for him.

Bolet only usually carries with him his own handmade enchanted guitar and wand, the latter of which he keeps with other necessary things in his belt bag, when transporting produce, he carries them in a bigger bag on his back.
