Text is a little off, but looks great!

I made a vector of an NES controller a while ago, and to get the right font, I actually took a huge picture of a real NES controller, copied the text on the buttons, and remade them as vectors.

well... it was hard 2 find the perfect font.. when i was drawing this in Flash i had a pic of a gameboy from google on the left hand side of the screen so i had something to work with... i gotta say.. the gradients really do bring it to life! i actually made this for my gf as she tried mak'n 1 in flash but she's better at gfx work in PS n so her gameboy was a lil basic look'n n so i decided 2 help out a bit and like.. this is the most realistic thing ive EVER made in flash!! yay :D :D

What I did was I selected the A and B button and pasted the outlines into a new document, and ironed out the details there. Could possibly do the same for the font on the game boy, that is.

ahhh ok... thanx for the tip btw.. do u think my A and B buttons turned out alright?? like, it was a bit tricky gettn the lighting+shading quite right..

very nicely done, need to blend the curve in a little more, but it looks great otherwise

well... the curves dont appear so sharp in the bit map version... its only when i converted it to a PNG when the sharpness appeared.. alwell... in the Flash version the curves r perfect i swear!!

Well... The curve is good, I meant that if you watch the shadow on the right it ends abruptly at the curve, I believe it should flow with it some

yeah, curves and shadows are hard to imagine. I can tell it's not right, but I have no clue how to make it look right

Could do, but now you've done it and can do better

figure out how the shadow works

nope. no tracing what-so-ever!! u must think im good then if it looks a lil traced.. btw u can tell its drawn coz its a lil wider than the actually gameboy..
