Oh, poor Ulysses. He never wanted to join the Exploration Guild. Back when he was just a young mienfoo, he just wanted to be left alone, curled up by his fireplace writing poetry... but his father insisted that sort of thing wasn't fit for any proper man. After all, his father was an explorer, his grandfather was an explorer, his great-grandfather was an explorer... so naturally, he had to become an explorer, too!

He spent his entire childhood being forced to toil and train, constantly being starved of food to keep his weight down... which seems to have given him something of a complex. The second he was old enough, his family shipped him off to the Guild. He's REALLY not gotten the hang of things yet. Travelling into mysterious and unexplored dungeons fills him with anxiety... getting into fights practically makes him hyperventilate... even just socializing with other Pokemon makes him nervous!

But at least he definitely has the appetite of an explorer. He tries to hide it, keeping up his unassuming act, but really, he's as hungry as a mienshao can get. Be careful around him when he's gone a while without eating anything! He suffers from some extreme hunger pangs, making him more and more gluttonous the longer he goes without a meal... and if there's no food around, any nearby POKEMON might end up on his menu! He's definitely embarrassed by all this, and tries to keep his gluttony secret and under check... but he can't exactly hide that growing paunch of his.
