The moon was high in the night sky as its light shined down on Evertine Asylum. Inside the patients were asleep either in their rooms or cells. The ones in their padded cells were given a rather strong sedative to ensure they got a nice relaxing sleep and away from their ailments. All was quite in the cell block, but there was one resident that was restless, Sef. The arctic fox lay awake in his padded cell. Bound tight in his straitjacket, he just gazed up at the dim led lights that shined into his cell. As he sunk into the padded floor, the crazy fox gave out a small sigh. The sedative they normally gave him before lights out did not mix well with his normal medication, and because of the bad mix, it wounded up causing him to stay up later than the rest on his block. The one positive side of being up was that the voices that danced around in his head were at least quite; a small victory in his personal war. He eased himself up trying to be a quiet as possible because the last time he made noise late at night, a nurse came and muzzled him. A small noise rang out in the cell as his eyes darted to the door.

"Great...." Sef groaned, "just go ahead and muzzle me before you stick me!"

The cell door opened up, and to his surprise Percy, the Horror night guard stepped in. As he stepped in, he allowed the door to close behind him, but Sef knew he had a way to exit the cell. Percy was one of the few guards that Sef really enjoyed. Unlike some of the other guards on the asylum grounds, Percy was a very friendly fellow. He always said hi to the inmates, his attitude was rather cheerful, and he was a bit... welll... silly at times and rather forgetful.

"Hey there, Sef!" Percy smiled and waved.

"Hi there, Percy!" Sef exclaimed with a smile on his face. Before the fox could begin a conversation, Percy just started to walk around the small cell. Sef scooted up to his favorite corner, stood up, and kept his eyes on Percy. Each time Percy would make a round, he would stop and acknowledge Sef with a simple "Hey there, Sef!" to which the crazy fox would just say "Hi". Without fail, this routine would continue and continue much to the enjoyment of the patient. He enjoyed any company he received when he wasn't allowed in the day room, and having Percy around made Sef quite happy. After about ten full loops around the cell, Percy stopped in his tracks, rather confused.

"Sef, you again? I always see you around here!"

Sef let out a small giggle, "Probably because it is my cell!"

The words sunk into Percy as he softly scratched the back of his head realizing what had happened. "...... makes sense...."

"Why are you in here anyway, Percy? Thought your patrol through isolation was tomorrow night?"

"Dunno," the Horror replied, "Dunno how I even got here to be honest."

Sef just giggled softly as he continued his conversation. Maybe tonight was not such a bad night to not sleep!
