Done for a lovely, patient, Client. He asked for a pic of Ganesh holding symbols of different faiths, andbasically gave me free run from there.
Ganesh sits reclined, casual and jovial, shareing various symbols of vastly different faiths with the viewer. He is showing interconnectivity of ideas and amicable acceptance of eachother. Each is depicted as a shineing treasure, each unique and bright in different ways.
Compositionally, the buisiest area is ganesh's face and eyes, with each of the pieces holding a different color of visual interest. The background remains simple with drapeing fabric and a bright, clear morning sky in the far background to give the eye a place to rest. Irridescant gold, blue-green and purple paint is interpspursed throughout, provideing different visual effects depending on the light.
