I agree with you, except when it comes to the homunculi. Other than Greed, the homunculi in the manga just felt too one-dimensional, while in the original anime each one had an actual background and story behind how they became what they are. But otherwise you're right; The manga totally owns (Kimblee <3<3<3).
*nods* Also I can't wait to see how Bradley survived that train. I mean, we don't know it yet, but come on. He's freaking Wrath. Even without regeneration there's no way he can be taken out with something as lame as an exploding train followed by a 500 foot drop into a raging river.
Other than that one spoiler that my friend in Japan told me about Olivier getting to fight Sloth again (don't know the outcome), I'm only at the end of volume 21 in the english release, which ends with Pride killing Gluttony in order to absorb his Philosopher's Stone so that he can survive longer and be able to detect Ed and crew.
