I stopped going to sunday school (actually saturday) after like a year in highschool cause the difficulty curve went like a wall and everyone else in class was just fresh off the boat from china and could read and write at a level much higher than I.
Also, racist teachers who teach ridiculous (but funny) propaganda like, "You're lucky to be born chinese because in 20 years or so China will rule the world".
Now I just pick up bits and pieces from reading chinese comics c:

75 nt is like what, $2~2.50 or something? Bubble tea there is cheap too fffffff (I remember it used to be like 10-15 NT a few years back but it's like 25-35 NT now) and and and all the food in 7-elevens and well pretty much everything there is cheap.
And watching Jay Chou MV's? Puh-leez, we're 卡拉OKing that shit up.

One of my classmates chose a totem pole for the idea, went and mapped out a general dimension template for each of us (2 inches indent left/right on the tops and bottoms, and .5 inch gutter). Pretty much, do-whatever-you-want-as-long-as-it-looks-like-it-would-be-on-a-totem-pole-and-fits-the-dimensions.

Goddamn. Makes me wonder what the section BELOW him looks like. The expression alone is dead-center brilliant. If I was going to bitch about anything it'd be the specular highlight on the glasses; feels like a dab of paint. You'd only have a highlight there if the light source was aimed right at the face. It's a nitpicky point.

painterly ones are nice also but its just to create texture and not to use like a different medium - if you're more used to traditional mediums then you'll probably like corel painter more.

LOL I almost fell off my chair when I saw this...
I used to have a head-band with those characters painted on it. Found it hanging off a fence one day while walking downtown. A neighbour kid who was Japanese told me it said "peace"- but I dunno if that's right since he spoke English better than he read Japanese.
