Hello folks,
Cookie here, with an interview with Lord Sesame!
Lord Sesame is a Bunnicula type Super Bear with raven wings and a streamlined single tail. Like the protagonist in James and Deborah Howe's book series "Bunnicula", Lord Sesame gets his nutrition by sucking the colour (and life essence) out of fruit and vegetables. Unlike Bunnicula, however, Lord Sesame does enjoy the occasional sweet. He is very fond of any dessert containing black or white sesame seeds!
He showed me their nest and explained that most Bunnicula Super Bears like to live together in small colonies. This way, they can pool their energy and resources together and ensure that everyone has a stable supply of fruit and vegetables year round. The Bunnicula Super Bears in Lord Sesame's colony have built their homes out of hollowed out pumpkins, sticks, and bark. Their pumpkin homes glow warmly at night since this is when Bunnicula Suer Bears are most active. Like Albino Super Bears, Bunnicula Super Bears have eyes that are sensitive to sunlight.
I asked Lord Sesame if he was the leader of his colony since he used the title "Lord" in his name. He chuckled and told me that it is common in Bunnicula Super Bear culture to address each other as Lord, Lady, or Imperator. In fact, their colony holds elections every year to choose a new leader... with no one leader allowed to be re-elected immediately after their term is complete. This way, the group benefits from the leadership of a variety of colony members over time.
Lord Sesame's greatest wish is to befriend a fellow vampiric creature of a different species. His secret is that he is self-conscious about the colouration of the calico pattern on his scales. Apparently, a childhood friend once exclaimed that his scales and tail looked like pizza. He has despised the food ever since.
In regards to humans, Lord Sesame feels no need to interact with them. He is aware of the fear many humans have of vampiric creatures, and prefers a drama-free life. He does, however, tolerate human presence during Halloween... since people come from near and far to admire their pumpkin homes during this holiday.
