I'm pretty sure Puro was not expecting this hug... But cute none the less. Now, I, at first wanting to be transfurred into the latex shark-cat, but analyzing this picture makes mii wanting to be transfurred

I wonder what exactly he feels like.
If I were to understand the notes that you find in the game of how "he is latex, but he also has fur" I imagine that he feels more like hugging an anthro wolf that is a bit drenched in liquid latex.
So it's a latex trying to mimic fur and it only does half the job, he does feel like fur, but you can still feel the sticky liquid latex.
Once again, this is another one of the many reasons why I hope there is going to be a lot more detailed lore to find in the special edition.
