Ilya Muromats
Race: Human Cyborg
Home Base: Moscow, Russia
Height: 6 ft 5
Weight: 400 lb (Appears to be in 260 lb range)
Alignment: Lawful-Good
Ilya was a Russian war veteran in Middle East. He suffered near-lethal injury during a battle and was forced to dismember his limbs and a large portion of his body. He was inducted into an experimental program funded by the government to create superpowered (and obedient) soldiers. He was the sole survivor of such operations, and now lives his life as half human, half machine, and the symbol of both heroism and government’s authority.
Ilya’s cybernetic parts grant him super strength and speed, extra heightened senses and computing ability, as well as power to override most computers he encountered. Because the government inserted chips and programs to ensure his obedience, Ilya frequently wonders if his conscious was his own. This dilemma instilled great fear into him, something his owner quickly suppressed. The only time he ever felt being an individual is when he goes to churches; secretly.
Through faith, Ilya was able to solidify his humanity, and eventually awoken his latent psychokinetic power, capable of generating force field and protective shield against both physical and psionic threats. It’s similar to the AT Field from Evangelion, except it’s fueled by his piety. When his power spikes, ethereal wings of steampunk gears and colored glass would manifest, perhaps a sign of him accepting both his human half as well as his machine half. (You can see the depth of his cybernetic eye under the light)
Ilya also managed to overpower the control his owner inserted into him, which put him on an equal footing with his creator. He will fulfill his duty as Russia’s greatest hero, but also as a paladin who’d ensure his government operates justly.
Years later, Ilya met an insufferable pagan named Zyxon Foewinter. Their rivalry and friendship continues to this day.

This is another of my OC characters from my superhero series, Titan Seven. Ilya and Foewinter are “friendemies” not only because Foewinter has distinct irritation towards church people, he also believe in doing good things at any cost, destructive if needed be, while Ilya believes a systematic change is required for greater good.
OC Character belongs to Cyberium/ChesireSu. Bigger resolution available at my Twitter.
