I really enjoy the story and the characters make no mistake.
But like, at first you look at Abe's vacant surprised stare and you kind of gloss over it. But when you look at it again in the context of the whole picture it's so much more than that. You see this guy Abe who has painstakingly made himself the picture of desirability. He's cut, in-shape, sexy right? But in this one instance, he's suddenly completely lost and totally vulnerable. It's immediately apparent that he doesn't need Basil, he needs himself to be absolutely desirable. Bringing guys home to bang is completely tied to his own self-worth. In this drawing, the way his upper back is arched off the edge of the bed. He grasping at straws to attempt to look irresistible. You can see Abe is desperately trying to will Basil to meet his gaze because he can't process the rejection. It's kind of world-breaking for him. This is only compounded by the next page where he's reduced to begging verbally because Basil gets up without looking at him. Abe is totally powerless. Like this total shallow asshole of a bunny guy (No offense to bunnies), I didn't care about several pages ago, I just want to hug and tell him he's worth a dam.
Basil's and Abe's facial expressions are really good. This is your fault MG, it's so darn easy to care about your characters. Bam! :D

it's not often.. ..we find ourselves in a situation like this one — eh abe?
though i'd rather basil not go through something he, in his own soul-of-souls, reckons is untenable.
of course, the implication surely must be: piglet just can't have sex again, until basil finally becomes the person he feels he needs to be.
that's my interpretation of the ramifications of these two pages here.
that said: i'm ..... fairly unhappy with my own body.
yet i don't let that stop me.

it probably helps, that i natively am not encumbered with a high libido.
