Really impressive he managed to keep his stomach contents down despite getting goat-butted right in the gut. This bear's a tank in a fur pelt.

Yes. He has a mission - to keep the Megawild in balance - so any predator that gets greedy or any prey denizen that multiplies too much gets a visit from HIM. That's why he attacked LBW, he, like always, got greedy, and that attracted Atlas. He cares absolutely nothing for his prey even if they are friends with him. Once he makes that decision, you're soup.
Anyone that stands in Atlas' way gets exactly the same treatment. As Davy well knows and Michelle just found out the hard way.
The only one that's actually survived an attempt to eat them was Sheila. She and Atlas fought to the pain, and it ended up a draw. But he's never forgotten the one greedy predator that escaped his claws.
