sorry for taking so darn long hon, and being so reclusive about commenting to your stuff and noting you. I really liked how the Squish one came out, but I got done with the top Onyx one and I just realized it looked like shit, so I redid it until I was happy with the results Q3Q
and again, as with all these badges, the scanner kind of bleached them so the colors look way better in reality than they do on here.
Hope you like them! :D
(p.s. everyone, check out her stuff/gallery, her art is BOSS @u@)

I'm really glad you like it :3 I wanted to do something that could compete with those awesome chibis you made me (I still think your's are better though ;)
at this point the text and everything for me is mostly luck, and not skill, lol. I just scribble text in and erase it until I make a cool design that fits the badge well
I was so frustrated when I screwed up on the first Onyx badge because I really loved how the word bubble design reflected her markings that I wasnt able to fit into the picture, and how I drew her and the almost gold-engraved looking background; but I went over her mouth with too dark of a grey color and I knew it was un-salvageable
so I was like FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF! START OVER. MAKE IT BETTER, STRONGER, FASTER. >:C
failure is always a good motivator for success XD
I'm gonna mail them out tomorrow, so hopefully you'll get yours within the week (depending on how fast the snail mail travels cross-country)

OH. MY. GOD. yours got here today
it totally wins, hands down. you are obviously a prodigy.
as soon as I saw the sunglasses possum on the front I busted out laughing XD
kind of makes me wish I would have done something silly for my letter too >3<
but I love the chibis! they look even better in real life because I can see all the little details you put into them like the little possum ladies on his kneepads and such; and your lineart is simply GORGEOUS @u@!! What did you use to do your inks, white accents, and colors? your lines are just so small and perfect its just blowing my mind :O
also, what kind of paper did you use for this? Is it a recycled paper sketchbook? I've been trying to get my hands on one of those for a while now but I just dont know who sells them or what brand to look for :T

well I originally got a sketchbook from pearl art of cachet paper... but later I went to utrecht and I was like "yo guys, got anything that looks like this?" and they gave me a generic book pretty quickly. So if you bring in a chibi to a nice/well stocked art store and ask them for paper like the one I used, they should be able to find it for you. I'm not sure that it is recycled, cause they can make recycled paper regular white. they just choose not to bleach it or something? so i call it fake recycled paper lolol
I used artliner pens (not that different from sakura microns) and white gel pens. nothing big :3c

yeah, the problem is that the only other dick blick in my state just closed and the only one left in the state is over an hour's drive away
other than that I dont really have any well stocked art stores that I know of, but I have a few that I have still yet to visit, so mabye I can get one after all :)
Artliner, eh? I have some microns that I dont really use anymore, but I've never seen a white gelpen for sale no matter how hard I look for them. I hear most people use them for white highlights and I've been trying to get my hands on one for a while now :I
