I have to say, after recently watching Swat Kats from start to finish, Commander Feral is definitely my favorite character. He's brave, he's proud, he stands by his ideals, and cares about protecting people and preventing unnecessary collateral damage above all else. Its not his fault that the show is written to make him extremely unlucky, and make the Swat Kats completely infallible Mary Sues.

That and his pilots seem like complete idiots. Like I know you being attacked by alien bugs, mutant rats and dog demons but do something beside stand there and yell. I think only him and his neice showed any competence and that only when as far as helping the swat cats or stalling till they showed up.
but would they still be the best if their on the enforcers? i mean half the time their home made tech saves the day while the enforce are stuck with standard-issue stuff that does nothing. heck half the time I think the dude would do better if he stop using helicopters and used jets like the swat cats.
Hard to tell. Is it the soldiers or the tech which wins battles?
Even without the tech, the Swat Kats would probably be limited by having to follow the rules.
It does pose interesting questions about doing what needs to be done to get the job done.
As far as jets, the enforcers do have jets, they’re just more limited than choppers because they no not have vtol or hover capability..

None of which ever happened. Except for the alien bugs. And the Enforcers were doing just fine with those at first. They managed to take out the MASA defense turrets (operated by the guards who'd been bitten and converted by the aliens) easily without any losses to their side (Feral showed up with three additional choppers and has the same amount with him after destroying the final MASA gun), allowing the hazmat team we see to go in and (presumably) take care of the alien nest in the reactor room. All offscreen, of course. Things only begin going sideways for them once the "regular" Ci-Kat-A fly up and get aboard their choppers and begin biting and taking them over, something they couldn't have predicted (even the SWAT Kats were taken aback by the Ci-Kat-A's ability to fly).
A lot of unjustified Enforcer hate among casual SWAT Kats fans. Sigh.

They do occasionally succeed. In The Pastmaster Always Rings Twice, the first thing we see the Enforcers do is effortlessly blast the Pastmaster's resurrected skeleton minions to bits, while making bad(ass?) jokes ("Do we read these things their rights?" "You have the right to remain buried!"), and for all the whining Callie and Dr. Sinian do when the Turbokat gets knocked through the portal ("Now who will save Megakat City?!"), it's, that's right, the Enforcers who bring down the rampaging Megasaurus rex all on their own using gas bombs. They take out the dinosaur who just got done handing the SWAT Kats their asses. And later on in The Ci-Kat-A, as mentioned above, they do pretty well against the aliens at first, keeping them on the defensive (only losing when the aliens bite and take over their pilots, something that they couldn't have anticipated), and it's them, not the SWAT Kats, who torch the nest at the end, indirectly leading to the queen's death when the burning roof lands on her (although since the SWAT Kats tied up her wings, it's a joint effort).
