Aposematism ∴ Yearning ∴ Radge A warm-up drawing I got carried away with instead of what I ought to be working on (I've updated my trello to reflect my current priorities) somewhat- largely inspired by someone else's boxing pic and realized I haven't drawn Vosyl in gloves myself yet. Not the best anatomy given I usually have a book open to use as reference, but not bad for something I churned out under two hours.

I try to keep a reference folder to work from, the joys of having a two monitor set-up. I can draw on one and turn to look at the other, so it feels almost like I'm back at college doing figure drawing. I did take some liberties by making the gloves rounder, added the six pack and tweak the positioning of the arms a little. The model was Amber Rose, there's a few other boxing pics she's in but the one licking the glove is the most ubiquitous.
Yeah two monitors can really do wonders for references! But we can clearly see the similarities and differences from both images, and I must say the six pack just makes it even better along with the rounder gloves! Either way I do hope to see more works with your boxing bun in the future!

Very lovely honey. There is a damn good amount of swagger in the picture. Pose is lovely and the lick is a *french kiss* touch. Also like the touch of prey on the boxing shorts and how high they are pulled up for a nice touch of realism. For a two hour bang out job you did hella good work honey.
I recently learnt the reason boxers shorts are so high up their waist is to confuse their opponent and referee to protect their body. What counts as a 'low blow' is anything below the tip of their hip bones so they were to stop their opponent trying to go for a legal body shot. They're also very airy and that helps circulate cool air to chill their core, which aids regaining their stamina quicker between bouts.
I felt it was sneaky enough that it fits what I had in mind for Vosyl being a 'heel' or at least just really underhanded. The prey label is also just to reflect her whole deal is predator prey relations, gotta keep those annoying carnivores on their guard when she's about. n.n
