This is actually an artjam on something that happened before the show - so that explains why the cast didn't really get it. XD
The channel bot, which goes by | got set weirdly during the week, with the result that it was kicking out anyone on IRC that said more than 2 lines in 10 seconds (easy to do), and banning anyone who changed nickname twice in a LONG time.
Once he got home, Yappy fixed it of course, but I figure the only explanation for the bot's attempt to kill anyone that moved is that he must have based it on a Dalek. :D
