Been in a big existential horror and dread mood recently, so I compromised on these feelings and made it round.
So have inflation but depressing.
(Also, note, I am doing totally fine mentally. I am honestly almost doing better than I ever have before, just been into the more horror-y themes of late)

There’s been a few ideas in my head about how one could deal with this easier. Most of these we already have in the real world.
1. Cannulation. If you didn’t know, sometimes cows will get this hole punched into the abdomen and a small porthole put there, which while being useful for research, can also be used to transfer liquids. It wouldn’t take much modifications to add this someone infected to make it much easier to drain them, just twist the cap off, use a hydraulic pump hose, and voilà.
2. Fight an infection with an infection. It worked with cowpox, after all. There’s this infection to blueberry plants known as Monilina, which causes infected blueberries to turn white and shrivel up into a 5th of their size. This wouldn’t just theoretically return someone to normal size, but it’ll get rid of that pesky blue discoloration of the body. Though, the cure would make you as pale as a ghost, but better than dying by a painful explosion, eh?
