"I'd Love You To Want Me" (take 3...)
I added a bass guitar, added some grit to the electric piano, and switched to a cleaner, rather austere electric guitar patch. Although I like rougher electric guitar sounds, the latter is a sound I've used quite a bit here because I'm a keyboardist who has tried playing guitar, but just can't seem to get the hang of it. This particular patch has come in quite handy when I've needed to fill out a song or two. I just might keep it.

I'm sorry, Boof. I now have a roommate who fancies himself a Dr. Phil, and he says my Internet use is way over the top and not the least bit healthy for me.
The third take sounds good, but I don't see enough in there to distinguish it as being "I'd Love You to Want Me". There were times when it reminded me more of "Starry, Starry Night". Perhaps a few more instruments or a few more notes?

What I'm trying to do is make this song's music my own. Max owned the last two songs we did, though he may disagree with me over "For You." This one will be different. I'm going to keep my end of it a little toned down while he sings, but after he's finished, the song will continue instrumentally for another two or three minutes, and I'm going to rock the hell out of it.
Also, there will be strings and extra percussion before I'm done with it. And yeah, it does sound a little like that Don McLean tune. That's odd...
