Bwahahah! Behold the efforts of my March 2nd broadcast: the finalized Shadow Lugia costume design :>
Obviously this was the latest and greatest project that I pumped out for this year's annual Pokemon cosplay group: Legendary Pokemon. Unfortunately we don't have as many participants as we did last year with the Eeveelution group, but we've got some awesome costumes coming your way: Groudon of course also being done by me. I've been helping Starmuttani build Rayquaza. And then we've got Kyogre to top it off, another costume I've been helping build for Draga. She made a Toxicroak this year. I'll be eventually making Armaldo for my brother ReyTiger Deoxys and Jirachi are now canceled due to financial reasons.
Shadow Lugia, or Dark Lugia as some call it, is the featured Pokemon of the game Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness. It's the only Pokemon that takes on a different appearance in evil shadow form... which only makes it THAT MUCH MORE BADASS! RWAR! >:U
This costume sports some sweet features that you haven't seen in my costumes before. I worked with a shiny fabric to match its skin in the games (not satin anymore, I've upgraded to "ultra cuddle" stretch fur that's got a shine to it). It has plenty of foam padding to give it a digitigrade look. The eyes light up and are evil like that. Of course it has a moving jaw because what's my costumes without a moving jaw? XD
If you've got any questions, just hollar! I've been building it for half of the year over Ustream, and yes it is complete (minus some upgrades and touch-ups I plan to add over the next year) This costume also won the "Most Faithful Re-Creation" award at A-kon 21: the longest-running anime con, and one of the biggest, in the United States. Thanks for all your support you guys!
Starting Thursday March 4th, I started broadcasting live video of the head construction process on Ustream. You can watch some of the broadcast videos on my channel and stay tuned for when I start to work on Groudon again. Click for more info on schedule times: [link]

They probably will add userpage Muro commenting but I doubt they will for other deviations. My guess is that it would distract from the artwork itself. It could be opt-in for specific deviations, though (checkbox when submitting that says "allow Muro comments").

Yeah I wish I had more finished photos myself. I'll been meaning to pick up a nice SLR camera and do a photoshoot as well as borrowing a beast HD camcorder to take some nice video outside or in front of a green screen. I have a few things I'd like to touch up on the costume before I call it good though, gonna re-do the wing covering at least, probably replace all the parts that became too dirty through extended use. The largest collection of pictures for now can be found here: http://caninehybrid.deviantart.com/.....Cosplay-Groups
Haha, XD they kinda wiggle on their own actually: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKFOXBWPY8I
Nope, the one on Dragon Con was not me. Someone showed me a picture of that one and I was shocked how much it was based off my design XD
