Atticus may not have shown Beau much interest in the beginning of their relationship, but now they've shared a close bond with one another, and Beau oftentimes finds himself being scooped up by the big cat and carried around to wherever he needs to be. Beau doesn't mind it too much and mostly lives in bliss about the while thing, But Atticus does it because he knows the city they live in is as cruel and unforgiving as it is beautiful to look at. Many worrisome people live amongst the shadows near their home and as much as Atticus doesn't enjoy letting Beau stray there, he knows the squeaky mouse likes to take trips to see the city as it is. Best to just carry him around, right? Less pointy things to watch out for.
