A series of six illustrations I did for a pamphlet in print class. Normally I can't do illustration (since I'm a design major) but we had the option of doing it this time around. :D Thanks a bunch to everyone who came to the livestream... it was nice having people to talk to while doing this.
They're pretty random since I did one drawing per two articles. Each article was about an inventor (or founder) and their invention.
From top left and clockwise: robotic ants/kevlar, windsurfing/telephones, Linux/UV Waterworks, telegraph/microwave, robotic surgeon/IDEO (design firm that made the Palm V, first Apple mouse, etc), and metal skiis/Ecotrek backpack.
I think my favorite is the skiing cat, lol~
All Photoshop, and each took 1-3 hours.

Thank you~ It was the only way I could organize it... otherwise it would have been like, 12 illustrations. I: And that's ridiculous.
Yeah, the website colors are really odd... I tried using that purple early early in the project and I couldn't get it to look right. >> I'm sure yours is looking good, though! Can't wait to see. :D I think you can still do the illustrations by Wednesday if you want (according to her e-mail)~

she really liked my illustrations progress in class today. What I want to know is how she received your illustrations, since she never actually got over there during critique. I remember the last batch of illustrations you showed her she was lukewarm at best, which is crazy cuz those were really good too.
Ooh, I didn't see yours... I'll have to see them on Wednesday when we print everything out again. XD Can't wait!
Well, she was probably worried I wouldn't finish on time (heck, I was too). >_> I think she liked them... she gave me some feedback on how to integrate the images a bit better with the type, so that's what I'm gonna be working on. And thennnn I can make a fun little cover. :D Hurray.

A lot of the brushes I hijacked from either
damie_m's journal awhile back (leaves and some of the line-y textures) or 
CornerShop's blog... and the latter has brush I pretty much use by default now. ;; I highly recommend them if you use PS and want to try some new brushes. :)
I have a few I've gotten from magazines or made myself, but they're not nearly as useful as the ones they offer. XD /will have to zip them all up someday
