Ningfaun is the capital of Livarnu - birthplace and home to Natalia Ruyemov. It is a prosperous nation with a fearful reputation. Harnessing the power of the birds with their energy shield projections, they were able to conquer most of the north almost single-handedly - only being pushed back west when multiple countries combined forces to stop them. They now reside in the mountainous region that comprises most of their acquired landmass, providing natural barriers and boundaries to their domain. The unique design of the city fools many who would try to assail it. The imperial palace is actually a ruse and is not where the seat of power lays, but is instead given to the common people. The emperor of Livarnu only resides there during public appearances. The vast majority of the city is underground beneath the falls and the palace. The four pillars that mark the separate quadrants of the city combine and form a powerful shield that not even the blasts of the behemoths could penetrate. If a land-based threat comes to attack, they already have the high ground advantage and if need be, they can blow their own bridge to make it impossible to cross for all but the birds, whom they had allied with centuries ago. There is a reason the country of Livarnu and its still vigilant and active military is still feared.
