State of the Union
President Edith Vaughn delivers her State of the Union address at the U.S. Capitol, in Washington, D.C. Wednesday, February 3, 2027. Vice President Ken Hopper and Speaker of the House Dusty Buckley sit behind her.
The 2027 State of the Union Address was given by the 47th president of the United States, Edith Vaughn, on February 3, 2027, at 9:00 p.m. EST, in the chamber of the United States House of Representatives to the 120th United States Congress. It was Vaughn's second State of the Union Address and her third speech to a joint session of the United States Congress. Presiding over this joint session was the House speaker, Dusty Buckley, accompanied by Ken Hopper, the vice president, in his capacity as the president of the Senate.
Vaughn's speech was primarily focused on her administration's achievements such as the Jobs Creation and Taxpayer Relief Act, the People's Health Care Act, the Medicare Revitalization Act, the Green Infrastructure Investment Act, and the Make in America Act. She praised several dozen Republican members of Congress who supported the Bipartisan Safer Communities Through Species Equity Act. Vaughn lauded the nation for the success of the Artemis III moon landing mission in 2026 and requested Congress for additional funding for NASA to land American astronauts on Mars no later than 2040. The president also thanked the Senate for confirming Isaac Wolfowitz, the first Predator-Carnivore and first openly gay supreme court justice.
In foreign affairs, Vaughn gave an update on Operation Yemeni Liberation, stating the Pentagon is expecting a "total collapse" of the Houthi regime by 2028, protecting American allies in the Middle East and South Asia from biological weapons threats from the Houthis. Vaughn assured the United States "will emerge victorious" from the Second Cold War, while noting how her administration is actively trying to de-escalate the Second Cold War, such as holding several summits with Chinese paramount leader Li Pinjing and promoting the Global Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (G-START).
Vaughn also focused on the 2026 midterm election results. While Democrats lost control of the House and the Senate became split 50-50, Vaughn stated she is proud that the 120th Congress is the most speciesally diverse congress so far with 93 species represented, and that there are 106 carnivore members of Congress; 88 in the House and 18 in the Senate. Vaughn concluded her speech by emphasizing the importance of minimizing species polarization near the election year. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Tim Kirkland was the designated survivor and was at an undisclosed location during the address so that, in case of a catastrophe, the continuity of government would be upheld.
Sen. Elyse Wilfred (R-GA), the only carnivore Republican senator and at the time had not announced her candidacy for president in the 2028 Republican primaries, gave the Republican response. She mainly criticized Vaughn's "America Together" foreign policy as "America Reckless," citing the invasion of Yemen as an example. Wilfred said that if she's elected president, her foreign policy doctrine will be "America Responsible." She mentioned that since Vaughn was an actress before politics, the director and scriptwriter of the "movie" are the military-industrial complex. Wilfred then confirmed she's considering Speaker Buckley (R-TX-10) as her vice presidential running mate should she win the Republican nomination. Notably, Wilfred commented that having two carnivores from the same species on the ballot for president will help reduce species polarization.
The Democratic National Committee allowed each caucus to give its response. Sen. Ernie Sandberg (I-VT), one of Vaughn's opponents in the 2024 Democratic primaries, gave the Congressional Progressive Caucus response. He praised the president for her bipartisanship, but criticized the president for taking a victory lap despite doing "too little, too centrist." Rep. Bill Howler (D-WA-7) gave the Congressional Carnivore Caucus response. Howler appreciated the president's actions to improve species equity, but criticized her for boasting to "fully fund the police."
The 1 hour 15 minutes speech was carried live in the United States by CBN, SBC, CBA, CBP, CNC, Fawkes News Channel, MSCBN, Newspro TV, NewsCountry, and Carni News System. 52.3 million people watched the address from the major television networks, with the White House and news outlets streaming the speech online giving an estimated viewership of 81.9 million.

They also believe real Edith died many years ago and whoever occupying 1600 Penn. is either: an impostor, a clone, or a robot or a combination of all three, and also think she takes "brain enhancer" pills before every public appearance to make her less prone to gaffes. Because I want to make it as realistic as possible, lol.
I've witnessed a plethora of Influential figures get branded as Imposters, Masqueraders, or Doppelgangers throughout the course of contemporary history, with the denominator of this sentiment being rooted from the Mandela Effect, but to become so influential and notorious so as to BECOME RUMOURED AS BEING A ROBOT IMPERSONATING THE REAL INDIVIDUAL from whom the alleged "Robot" is derived? Now, whomever becomes subject to such scrutiny had to have been recognized that deeply from the public eye who have grown to develop a conscientious erudition for the character of that individual. To the extent where such a phenomenon could perhaps emerge which would be dubbed as the "Vaugn Effect" X3
