“I'm sure I'll be fine!” You reassure the orca. You nuzzle his arms as he holds you. “Besides, I trust you to take care of me. You can be my mother!” You say with a smile as Mystic blushes. You already have a few potions that could make that happen, you muse to yourself.
But the shrinking doesn't stop. In a few minutes, Mystic has you wrapped up in his hands. You look more like a toy than a child! Pretty soon you are only a few inches tall and your orca friend only needs one hand to hold you.
“Hang on! I don't want to lose you!” He says, getting concerned. He sets you down on the table and turns around, looking for something on the floor before turning back around, his eyes widening in fright.
“Oh no! Where did you go!” He cries out.
“stop shouting! i'm over here!” You call back, having to jump up and down to get his attention. You are only an inch tall and are hard to spot in all of the clutter. Oops! Half an inch tall now.
“Oh, good...” Mystic sighs in relief. He sets the empty potion bottle next to you. “Get in here, then I can't lose you again no matter how small you get!”
“is this really necessary?” You ask, but as you look around at the intimidating world of giant artifacts on your desk, you decide maybe it's the best idea after all. At one centimeter tall, you walk into the cavernous potion bottle. At least you seem to have finally stopped shrinking. Mystic tore a hole into the cork and closed the opening of the bottle. Then he bound the bottle with a leather cord and tied it around his neck like a necklace. It wasn't the smoothest ride, but it was strangely comforting to be kept against the orca's chest. You found the sound of his heartbeat quite comforting.
After a few days into your micro life, Mystic was still trying to research a counter spell. He had fallen asleep on the couch reading one of your alchemy books. It had been an interesting few days with Mystic taking care of you, taking you out every now and then when it was safe to play with you, but as you sit in the bottle you wonder if this was what the rest of your life would be like.
As you sat inside the bottle you felt yourself sliding against the glass. At first you thought the necklace had shifted positions but then you realized you were sliding in ALL directions at once. You stand up and discover the cork much closer to your head than before- and getting closer. The spell was wearing off and you were turning back to normal!
But then you bump your head. You were running out of room. And quickly! You sit back down but already your knees were pressed against the sides of the bottle. You try to push against the cork but it won't move. You try to push the glass but you weren't strong enough. As the bottle begins to fill with purple hippo you hear a faint cracking noise. At least you'll be out of this predicament soon. But it might be a rude wake up call for your orca friend!
