They call it Cancel Culture. Some call it Mob Mentality. A raving swarm of people seeking to shut down anyone who they deem undeserving of their jobs or their platforms, perhaps even of their freedom if they can find the proof needed. If the USA's Government is a Republic, then Social Media is a true democracy. This wouldn't be such a bad thing if it wasn't drunk off of it's own rage.
But to me the use of force by numbers in such vicious fashion so as to tear people down and wipe them away from the internet they would have otherwise enjoyed, to me this sounds as though by a different name, perhaps used somewhat inappropriately within the context in that it's only Verbal assault instead of physical, but the methodology rings true to my ears.
This seems like Fascism. And at the time when I thought of it, it was a huge realization, dots connected that had never been so before.

Now it's just a sad reminder that you don't need a crowd to bring someone down, but a bad day with someone else on the opposition.
