Carolina Beaver...CSA
This is a commission for
imnohbody who requested his carolina beaver as a Confederate Artillery Sargent with the CSA in the Civil War.
Armed with a 6 pounder, our fellow here is the first beaver I've ever drawn for a commission.
The carriage wheels were a PITA to line up and try and get right too.

I know you check that kind of thing, that's why I wasn't complaining. I just wasn't aware of those items I mentioned also being red, but then I'm more of a dilettante than anything else about historical uniform details.

Ahh it's good to see a Civil War piece. I have an unrelated question concerning Union uniforms though. Was there a major difference in the standard uniform between The Army of the Tennessee and The Army of the Potomac? I heard that Union soldiers in the Western Theater wore slouch hats instead of the Eastern forces' forage caps; but I don't know if that was just some units, many, or all.
