This was a commission done by  rabbi-tom of an ancestor of my Furry Wrestling Alliance character Dan Jefferson (whose appearance is almost exactly the same, along with sharing the same name), an artillerist Carolina Beaver in the Confederate Army during the American Civil War. Here he's posing with the piece he's the sergeant for, a six pounder (light artillery, for those not up on cannon classifications).
