I want to play Age of Fantasy Skirmish (wargame from Onepagerules), so was making some sprites to use as units for that.
My idea was to try and make a world for VRchat to play with friends and see how that goes (never made a world before so gonna have to see how hard that is), if not I can always use these for tabletop sim.
Currently have sprites for (almost) all the high elves units (as rabbits), all the ratmen, all the hobbits (as kobolds and dragons) and a bunch of ghosts.

I will say as I am dabbling in VRCHAT world building it's actually not that hard, just can be curmbersom importing objects and models and having to re-scale them as 80% of the time they pop in HUGE.
Other then that Unity in its basic form is super simple, then its just a matter of downloading add-on's like a linux OS which I have no idea how Linux works but thats the best I could compare it too XD

Haha, just make the battlemap real size and each player is a unit (?)
I did some avatar work before so have a basic idea on how unity works, so its mostly model the place to look pretty and start with something very basic (grabbable objects, miniatures and stat cards that stay where you put them and dice with gravity/colliders so you can throw them around)
