An unapologetic Hedonist, Sarrah embraces all that is pleasurable in her world, including the love she and her husband share. Their strength and dedication to each other got them both through a difficult pregnancy which ended with Sarrah being unable to bear more children.
Determined to ensure that her only child has the best life she can possibly have, Sarrah strongly encourages Shema to experience everything life offers. This was good advice when Shema was young, but sent her down a potentially dark path during and after her college years, until she met Shameen.
Sarrah is fiercely protective of Shema and enjoys playfully flirting with (and embarrassing!) Shameen, whom she very much approves of, unlike Baron, whom she very much did not.
